For some reason, DVD Genie 4.10 does NOT recognize Cyblerlink PowerDVD 8.0 !!

DVD Genie says in the PowerDVD tab: "Key: not found" "EXE version: unknown"
How do I fix this??
Thanks for your help.

I realized some possible reasons for my problem.

1) It may be that DVD Genie does not work with Windows XP (my operating system)
2) My disc drive is old, from before there were region codes.
3) The last update to my driver was 2001
4) AND MOST PROBABLE?: the drive was a CD-R/W drive that played some very simple cheap DVDs (so I thought it was a DVD drive).

My solution was to install a new DVD drive (relatively cheap) and installed "AnyDVD" on recommendation from a pro. I'm not sure if I now have a Region code of "0" or whether I have 5 changes available, But I am happily watching Region 2 DVDs with PowerDVD at this point.

It is possible that DVD Genie would have worked with the new drive. I'll find out if it looks like AnyDVD is giving me only 5 region changes.

DVD Genie is rather old and intended for use with RPC-1 drives (your old one could be one of those), which is why it could have problems with newer versions of the player software.
It will not work with your new drive - AnyDVD should work however.
