It's been over a year since the release of version 6 and now version 7 is finally complete.

We've introduced a lot of new features, redesigned many interfaces for simplicity and intuitive use and many bugs were squashed to the roadside.

We hope you'll be proud of the end result and enjoy using Zoom Player just as much as we had designing it.

Click to Download

Change list from RC2:
* Support for APE TAG embedded folder image (PNG and JPEG image formats
	are supported).

  * If a fullscreen navigation interface is visible, right-clicking it will
	show a "Close Navigator" option.

  * New Setting (Adv. Options / Playback - On Playlist Complete) allowing
you to play the next file in the directory with the same file extension.

  * New Setting (Adv. Options / Playback / BluRay) allowing you to specify
when a detected BluRay playlist containing HD content of a specified
duration will be detected as the main movie over an SD (DVD quality)
	of longer duration.

  * New Setting (Adv. Options / Playback / Video / Subtitles) allowing
you to specify the subtitle synchronization adjustment value used
	by the subtitle synchronization functions.

  * New Setting (Adv. Options / Interface / Control Bar), allowing you to
auto-hide the control bar after the specified number of seconds even
	when playback is paused.

  - Fixed a video stuttering issue when using certain video renderers
with Aero Desktop Composition enabled (Windows 7/Vista).

  - An "ACCESS VIOLATION 00000000 READ ADDRESS 00000000" error when using
the advanced playlist control has been fixed.

  - Using the previous chapter function with only one chapter would go to
the previous track rather than seeking to the first chapter.

  - When enabling "Close on Inactivity" for the fullscreen navigation
interfaces, Opening a navigation interface through the SendMessage
WinAPI command would have caused the dialog to time-out and close
	instantly.

Complete change list from v6

Does "Open Drive" work for anyone on Bluray?

Nothing happens for me.

It works if I "Open Directory" and open the BDMV folder.

Mark:
Is it a real disc or a mounted image? What is the directory structure? Look at your PM.

OK two things.

1. The "Create Contact Sheet" feature doesn't seem to work properly, the output is blank. Also related is the issue that screenshots ATM don't have the correct aspect ratio, which wouldn't make sense for the contact sheet, or screenshots in general for that matter. Only tested with EVR.

2. You can now use the numpad to enter numbers in the "Goto time" nav. I couldn't find a way to use my remote control for this though. Ideally I would use a girder command that is only active when the goto Nav is open, so that I can use the same buttons for other things when not in the nav. Related issues, although probably not for V7, would be allowing to go backwards past zero in the goto nav, and exporting a remote control file that is readable for event ghost, as girder is bit old and not free.

A real disc. With a standard BD structure. I've tried about 5 discs, same behaviour.

I got your PM, I will take it there.

Thanks

That sounds promising. Unfortunately I uninstalled 6 and then installed 7. I then used my .regkey but it said Zoom Player 7 was unregistered. After a few attempts I uninstalled 7 and went back to 6 but that won't register either now. It seems that uninstalling 6 and installing 7 has really upset things.

Did people have more success by installing 7 over 6?

No problem here (6 Pro -> 7).

Congratulations on the new version.

I recently installed Win 7 as a dual boot so I could slowly transfer all my programs.

I installed ZP7 in Win 7 which uses drive D. ZP7 installed in drive C. I reinstalled it to drive D but I am mentioning it because it is the first program that has installed to drive C.

What key do you have - Pro, Premium or MAX?
Make sure you use the CORRECT version 7 of ZP for your key ;)

FFDShow subtitles support is broken, I get a "List index out of bounds" error. VSFilter works fine. I've tried resetting all ffdshow and zoomplayer's settings, but the error persists. I'm using ZP Pro with the latest FFDShow.

Can you open a seperate thread about it here so we can discuss it?
In there, also tell us -
does this happen on all files that ffdshow should support? Post a link to one file that does this for experimentation.
Does this error appear on load or is there something else needed to reproduce?
