Windows 7 is new and isn't fully supported (yet!)
I'd suggest playing with Vob settings (and Playback->Video->subtitles in advanced options) a bit before giving up. If you can, check the same file on anoher OS to see ifit also happens (I guess not Regards, Booga. -------------------- Help me help you!

Sadly, but i will be looking for a new player THis shit with subtitles does vobsub filter. tested with mpc & ffdshow. I switched to custom filter->ffdshow and got blank screen instead of video like here. Hack with nvidia driver settings doesnt helped. |

Everything has a solution.
If you are playing on a TV or a second monitor, then black screen thingy is solved : http://www.inmatrix.com/zplayer/faq/faq_entry0049.shtml Else... Do you use additional filters? What type of file are you playing? (internal subs in it?) You can also get error messages about what exactly is failing by going to Smartplay->settings and blacklist and selecting "show smart play graph creation errors". Does other subtitles (in other videos) show ok? Also, by the settings you sent, there is a "text settings" button.. "Adobe Kaiti Std R".. perhaps it is some of their internal text settings.. Please first remove the custom renderer in Playback->video. It shouldn't be there IMO.
On Playback->video->subtitles, you should have VobSub, as I understand. After that is done, check if the "Fix VMR9 Scaling Bug" and "Prevent VMR..." are causing this. I would try different Video->Aspect Ratio settings, especially "derived" and "source" to see if this strange behaviour persists. Booga. -------------------- Help me help you!
