After over a year of development, v6 has gone final, we anticipate your feedback.

This version of Zoom Player is incompatible with v5.5/6.0 betas (except 6.0 RC2/RC3) that were installed in "Standard" mode (legacy mode installations are unaffected). If you've used a previous installation, it is recommended that you uninstall prior to installing this version.

If you do not wish to uninstall, you'll have to manually erase the following folder (from an admin account):
"%AppData%\Zoom Player"

Download:
Zoom Player v6.00 final

Navigation interfaces (if you're not using the default drapes interface, you need to update):
Drapes Widescreen :: Drapes for Tablet devices :: Blue Chill :: Bill Chill for Tablet devices :: Charcoal :: Charcoal Widescreen :: Ivory :: Ivory Widescreen :: Mercury :: Onyx :: LCARS]

Changes from 6.00 RC3 :
CODE
  * Support for PowerDVD v8 filters (CD Audio/H.264 and DVD Navigation)

+ The AB-Repeat function (Alt+"R") used to loop a specific section of
audio/video will now highlight the timeline to indicate the looping
    section (only on default skin).

  - Some M3U playlist files wouldn't load properly if the files within
contained ANSI characters which conflicted with UTF8 decoding.

  - Deleting entries from the Chapter Browser navigation interface no
longer causes a "Divide by Zero" error in some cases.

  - Having both "Auto-Size User Interface to maintain Video Aspect Ratio"
and "Prevent moving the user interface off the primary monitor" enabled
could cause a freeze when using the Alt+"4" or Alt+"5" functions to Zoom
the video window beyond the size of the monitor.

  - With a detached Control Bar, it was possible for the mouse wheel
functions not to work if the control bar was moved.

  - You should no longer see open/enqueue with Zoom Player when
    right-clicking certain system folders.

  - When Stay On Top was enabled, some interfaces were appearing behind
    the main user interface.

  - Using the Fast-Play and Slow-Motion controls with EVR set as the
video renderer could cause "Invalid Floating Point Operation" errors.

  - The "/Config" command line didn't work when specifying a non-existent
local configuration file (a default setting file should have been
    created and wasn't).

Grats on releasing the final!

Few Questions:

1) How can you get upgrade licenses as a ZP Pro user? On the Buy page there are only full licenses available.

2) How can I interact with HTML/Flash (in ZP Max)? Opening a video page on youtube worked (yay) but clicking on the screen to enlarge the video or go to a different video doesn't do anything.

3) Why does the Media Background screen popup on top of the youtube page while the video is stil playing?

4) How else can I open web pages apart from the command line switch? Any Interfaces?

And BTW the search box on the top left of inmatrix.com seems to be broken ATM (error page).

"Why Go Premium" and "Why Go Max" links are broken (although the "Features Comparison" works).

Unfortunately there is one last bug with translations. However it will not affect the English version, but it will run with the "Default (English)"-Version, because the bug is within the "English.dialog"-file. It will mess up the lower section of the menue while in advanced mode.

@Translators: here is what you need to change in your "yourlanguage.dialog"-file:
- change "OE:OptionsTree|045;" to "OE:OptionsTree|044;"
- delete the String "Audio;" from line 56
- line 59 should contain the String "File Tracker;" (i.e. exchange line 59 & 60)
- line 60 should contain the String "Screen Saver;"

The link http://www.zptechnology.com/download/zp600pro.exe gives me a 403 Forbidden error page aswell as a 404 Not found. The alternative download link does not answer at all.

Great work!

Gonna get a license asap. Couldn't find the license info anywhere though, is it 1 year of upgrades?
I got an old license from the 4.x era but I figured it needs a refresh tongue.gif

Until Blight says otherwise, upgrades are free.

Feel free to buy more licenses and support ZP though smile.gif

1. Upgrading to the pro will be $19.95, a link will appear on the purchase page in the next few hours.
2. There's 2 settings under "adv. options / playback" which control whether flash/html are interactive.
3. I'm not sure what you mean, you'll have to specify the exact mechanism you've used to display the web page.
4. None at the moment, a fuller browser interface may be added in the future.

Jacques:
I know, there was a lot of restructuring, we're almost finished.

bugmenotplz:
It's undecided at this point.

casperboy77:
In a few weeks probably. Drop us a note here if you don't see it.

Traktor Pulling:
More mirrors are now up.

Thx. I switched on the options and now using the mouse to navigate html works. All we need now is a means to open and interact sites using a remote from the couch!

The other issue was caused because I was going to youtube by opening a URL file with ZP.

It's not that simple, it would require:
1. Adding bookmark functionality
2. Writing a keyboard editor nav interface

To which other issue are you referring to?

Yeah, I didn't think it would be simple, but maybe a nice addition for future versions.

The other issue was point 3) where the media screen would keep popping up.

A screenshot can be found here: http://www.bilderhosting.info/69069.jpg
To see the difference, just compare the embedded "Default (English)" and the language files linked to "English (Strings,Contect Menus,...)".

In the relevant topic I see this:

v5 Zoom Player Professional = v6 Zoom Player Home Professional

Two questions:

1) Is there any functionality that has been taken away from the Pro version and taken to either the Premium or MAX?

2) Is there any way of keeping settings when upgrading? The advanced settings are very complex and I'd rather avoid redoing everything from scratch.

gorman:
1) Here is a feature comparison list: http://www.inmatrix.com/zplayer/pro/versions_home.shtml

2) If you are upgrading from v5.02 then your settings will be the same in v6. You can also backup your settings by going into the advanced options dialog and using "Help / Export -> Export -> Settings"
