Griga from the DVBViewer-forum has found a simple way to use the EVR under XP:
http://www.dvbviewer.info/forum/index.php?...&pid=132498
Is there a way to use it with ZP? Even after installing the .NET Framework 3.0 I can't find it (Playback > DVD > Video Renderer > Custom).
Thanks!

This is amazing news, EVR under XP. If this works we can finally get non-tearing video PLUS on screen display, which is currently not displayed with VMR9 Renderless/Exclusive.
I'll give .Net 3.0 an install later, see how it goes.

Just installed .NET 3.0 + Its Updates via Windows Update + April 2007 DirectX Update...no EVR in ZP's Custom Renderer selection.

I think the EVR is simply not listed, but still possibly accessible. I've added EVR support into the next build so you could give it a try when it's released. However, I get no tearing and OSD using Haali's Video Renderer, but it doesn't work for DVDs for some reason. At least not under VISTA. (you can select haali's video renderer as a custom filter and it'll work).
Not to mention EVR is somewhat buggy (at least under vista, see vista thread for more info).

Well I can't wait for the next version to test out EVR, hopefully PureVideo/DXVA will work with it, that's the only deinterlacer I know of that can properly display some music videos I have. Tried them with Haali's Renderer, alas the deinterlacing quality was subpar so can't switch yet, no matter how much better the colors/resizing.

An alpha vista-test version is going to be released later today.
