This player looks great, but is there going to be a linux version?
Don't bother replying if it's just the "there are too many distros" or "its too hard" this is a genuine query.

You forgot the third option, "nobody with Linux wants to pay for software, so it will be a lot of development with little or no income".

I think ZP can run under WineX (not tested), there will not be a native linux version (see mastiff's reply).

Zoom Player is entirely based on DirectShow which is a part of DirectX. So I guess it would be very unlikely even without Mastiff's reason.
