Any version of the player, from the latest version. The problem appears not for the first time. Earlier reinstalling windows helps only. Reinstalling codecs is also not resolved the problem. Plese help)))

Hi TraTaTa,

Welcome to the forums :) I don't suppose you would be able to provide a sample of that MKV file would you? Also, if you enable the following option, do any other error/warning messages appear when you try and play the file?

Playback : Smart Play > Show Smart Play graph creation errors (useful for debugging)

The red x on the error dialog seemingly indicates a system error, the title bar indicates that Zoom generated it, but that lack of text is disturbing.

Ok, a few things.

1. What splitter have you set for Matroska?

2. If you run the file through MediaInfo, what does it list as the video format, and the audio format?

MediaInfo is available from http://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo

3. Does the file have subtitles? If so:

a. What subtitle renderer are you using?

b. If you are using the current Beta, do you have the 'Use XySubFilter' option enabled?
